Clearing the messages from a message queue

Clear messages from a message queue through the Actions menu on the Queue Management panel of Runtime Management.

• You must have the Runtime Management privilege to perform this task. If you have the Runtime Management Read Access privilege, you cannot perform the task.

• Messages on a message queue are purged automatically when the documents that they reference are purged.

Procedure

1. On the Manage menu select Runtime Management.

2. Select the runtime from the list on the left.

3. In Runtime, click Queue Management.

   The Queue Management panel opens.

4. If the message queue is a subscriber queue, in the Actions menu for the applicable Publish/Subscribe queue, select Manage Subscriber Queues.

5. In the Actions menu for the message queue, select Clear Messages.

   A confirmation dialog opens.

6. Click OK.

An alternative method after step 4 is to navigate to the message list for the queue, click Delete, select All and in the confirmation dialog, then click OK.
